The Richmond Senior High School girls tennis team saw two matches washed out by rain last week, but the Lady Raiders made the most of their lone opportunity on the court.
Richmond was scheduled for a three-match week, but a non-conference match against Lumberton on Wednesday and a Mid-South Conference contest against Hoke County on Thursday were both postponed due to weather. The Lady Raiders were still able to host Jack Britt in conference play on Monday, earning a 7-2 victory to improve to 7-1 overall on the season.The Lady Raiders captured five of six singles matches to build an early advantage.
