Lowcountry tourism unimpacted by record high gas prices

FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) — Memorial Day weekend brought heavy crowds to Folly Beach, with packed shorelines and bumper-to-bumper traffic despite rising gas prices nationwide.

According to GasBuddy, Americans are expected to spend $2 billion more on gas this Memorial Day weekend compared to last year, but that didn’t stop tourists from making the trip to the Lowcountry.
