11-year-old airlifted after being knocked from ATV trailer by tree limb in Stoneville, Sheriff says

STONEVILLE, N.C. — An 11-year-old child was airlifted to a hospital on Monday after being struck by a tree limb and knocked from an ATV trailer in a wooded area of Stoneville, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said.

The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday near a home on Price Grange Road. According to Sheriff Sam Page, an ATV was pulling a trailer with children in it when a tree limb struck the 11-year-old, knocking the child from the trailer.

The child was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition is unknown…
