GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A new memorial honoring American Revolutionary War soldiers who fought in or were buried in Greenville County is now open to the public at Veterans Plaza.
The wall at County Square displays 170 names of soldiers from the Revolutionary War, which began 250 years ago. Just a few months ago, the wall was blank.
Tracy Andrew, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and chair of the SC250 committee for the Behethland Butler Chapter, came up with the idea last year while walking through Veterans Plaza. She worked with several organizations to research historical records and identify the names…
