NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A sentence was given on May 14, in an attempted drug smuggling case that happened years prior in New Orleans.
Court documents filed with the United States Attorney’s Office revealed, 41-year-old Emanual Harris pled guilty to possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

On Sept. 8, 2023, Harris arrived at the New Orleans International Airport and checked his bag with United Airlines in an attempt to travel.
