Pooler man places flags to honor military who lost their lives, community rallies to help him

POOLER, Ga. (WSAV) — A Pooler man is helping the community remember the meaning of Memorial Day.

For 84-year-old Clyde Watson, Memorial Day means honoring those who lost their lives in the armed forces.

He does this by placing over 50 flags on the side of Highway 80 in Pooler. He’s been doing this for over 5 years, but now he’s ready to pass the torch on to someone else…
