Akron man gets at least 10 years in drug death of Ravenna man

An Akron man will spend at least a decade behind bars for providing the drugs that killed a Ravenna man in January 2024.

Judge Becky Doherty sentenced Gene Arnall Hill, 43, to 10 to 15 years in prison during a May 26 hearing in Portage County Court of Common Pleas. Hill had faced a maximum possible sentence of 12 to 17½ years, according to court records.
