SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) — Officers with the Summerville Police Department are searching for multiple individuals after a shooting left one person injured Monday night.
According to the police report at approximately 10 p.m. officers responded to the Gates apartment complex on Boone Hill Road in Summerville in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arriving on scene, officers rendered aid to a victim who appeared to have an “obvious” gun shot wound to their right arm.
Police spoke to multiple witnesses who reported hearing the shooting occur as well as a few who reported spotting the injured victim after the shooting. Officers searched both the parking lot and the surrounding area for signs of a shooting and reportedly found none until another person who lived in a neighboring building reported hearing yelling and running behind their building…
