On Your Side: Rising gas prices squeeze Ozarks food truck operators

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Rising gas prices are creating challenges for food truck operators across the Ozarks as they manage day-to-day operations that require constant fuel consumption.

Gema Montes started Taconmadres with her fiancé and brother in January. In just a few months, she said her bills to keep the generator running have doubled.

“When we first started, it would take us about $12 to fill up the generator for the day,” Montes said. “Now we’re looking at double like $22… $24 depending.”…
