Rochester, N.Y. — A member of the Rochester Police Department was honored Tuesday for his work in the community.
Detective Jared Carello received the Henry H. Jensen Memorial Award at the Rochester Rotary’s 24th annual Law Day luncheon.
Carello led fundraising efforts that benefited Golisano Children’s Hospital and the Special Olympics. Sales of commemorative police patches co-branded with the organizations raised $5,420 in 2025 and $3,000 in 2024 for the hospital and more than $3,000 for Special Olympics, according to Rotary.
