West Shreveport’s skyline gets rosier with new water tower paint job

West Shreveport is a little rosier now that the facelift on its water tower is complete. But it’s what’s inside it that really counts.

Shreveport contractors recently finished repainting the water tower visible from Interstate 20 in west Shreveport, the second of three planned upgrades for the critical storage tanks. The tank exterior now is graced with roses while crews finish up interior mechanical improvements.

“The renovated tower is a beautiful addition to West Shreveport, and the Shreveport Rose design adds a great local touch. It serves as both a welcoming landmark and a symbol of the momentum we are building as we continue improving our water system,” Councilwoman Ursula Bowman, in whose district the water tower is located, said in an email. “This project is a major step in the right direction as we work to move our infrastructure into a more reliable and sustainable place.”…
