SUN: Halethorpe man heard ‘voices’ before shooting teenager in bunk bed, police say

A Halethorpe man accused of killing a teenager at his mother’s house Tuesday morning told Baltimore County Police that “the voices in his head had gotten to him” before the fatal shooting, according to charging documents.

Court records show Marquis Washington, 22, was arrested and charged Tuesday with first-degree murder and a firearm offense after 17-year-old Breontae Mosley was killed in an upstairs bunk bed.

According to charging papers, Washington’s mother said Mosley was a friend of her other son’s, the defendant’s brother, and spending the night when he was shot. She also told detectives that Washington had previously been hospitalized and medicated for his mental illnesses…
