SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens appointed Monica Williams to the Syracuse Housing Authority Board of Commissioners following the resignation of Vice Chair Christopher Montgomery.
In a statement, Owens called Williams “an exceptionally qualified individual” and said her experience as Onondaga County’s Chief Diversity Officer would help ensure minority, women and veteran-owned businesses and local hiring remain a focus during the East Adams redevelopment project and other SHA initiatives.
