BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A newly filed federal charge alleges an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office corporal failed to stop a deputy from assaulting an inmate in January 2023 inside the parish jail.
According to a federal bill of information filed May 26 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Christian Morris is accused of willfully depriving an inmate, identified by the initials C.P., of the right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment.
