AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Valley Public Service Authority Water System is advising some customers to boil their water before drinking or cooking with it following an interruption in service.
Officials said water service was interrupted due to unforeseen system repairs in the following areas:
- Glover Street
- Buttercup Lane
- Goldenrod Way
- M & K Street
- Corey Heights
- Pine Street
- Finley Street
- Farrell Street
- Henson Drive
- Charles Street
- Sarah Street
- Dead End Street
- Grace Hurst Road
According to the water system, there has been no confirmed contamination. However, officials said the service interruption creates a potential risk of contamination.
As a precaution, customers who experienced a service interruption or low water pressure should vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute before using it for drinking or cooking once service is restored…
