The Loutrel Elevates Veranda Lounge With New Southern-Driven Menu

As Charleston’s luxury hotel scene becomes increasingly food-focused, The Loutrel’s beloved botanical craft cocktail bar, Veranda Lounge, has expanded its offerings with a reimagined all-day menu crafted by newly appointed Director of Food & Beverage Jason Vaughn.

The refreshed menu transforms Charleston’s iconic garden-inspired cocktail lounge into a delectable dining destination, with elevated Southern-inspired dishes that highlight regional ingredients and local flavors. Standouts include the Charleston Red Rice Cassoulet with fried green tomatoes and Lady Pea sweet corn relish, Smoked Oysters Southern Fella finished with country ham butter and parmesan pepper stuffing, and a Crispy Shrimp Cake Roll layered with peach cocktail sauce, Heirloom tomatoes, house-made hot pickles and lettuce on a toasted brioche roll.

The menu refresh comes on the heels of Vaughn’s appointment as The Loutrel’s Director of Food & Beverage, where he oversees operations, menu development and food programming like The Loutrel’s daily ‘Finest Hour’ and the new Garden to Glass cocktail trail.
