FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) — One person is dead, and two others were transported to an area hospital following a drowning off Folly Beach Pier, city officials confirmed Thursday.
According to Charleston County EMS, they received a call for three distressed swimmers and a possible CPR in progress on a man who was found floating in the water, at approximately 3:08 p.m. on Wednesday on Folly Beach.
Upon arrival on scene, officials state that EMS was performing CPR on an approximately 30-year-old man who was in cardiac arrest.
