Floyd County Prison Inmate Jailed for Trying to Sneak and Distribute Drugs

An inmate of the Floyd County Prison, Stephen Chase Ramsey, 40 of Columbus, was jailed in Rome this week after reports said he conspired with another person to sneak drugs and contraband back into the prison while on work detail.

Reports said that Ramsey conspired with another person to place 15.38 grams of methamphetamine, 14 suboxone strips, one pound of tobacco, a vape, two packs of rolling papers and a denture reline kit at the Walker Mountain Landfill for the purpose of sneaking back into the prison.
