(FOX40.COM) — A jury convicted LaRalph Choyce on Tuesday of robbing a man during a planned drone purchase meeting at an elementary school, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.
The DA’s office said the conviction stems from a June 19, 2025, incident in which Choyce arranged to meet the victim to buy a drone. Prosecutors reported that Choyce flew the drone before pulling out a firearm, pointing it at the victim and taking the device before fleeing in a vehicle.
Authorities later found Choyce hiding in a closet inside a nearby residence. Investigators also located his vehicle in the residence’s parking lot, where the stolen drone was recovered from the trunk, officials said…
