A Thursday arrest brought a major update to a devastating April car accident in Oldsmar. Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies took 27-year-old Jayanna Clark into custody on May 28, 2026, booked on charges of one count of vehicular homicide and two counts of child neglect following a weeks-long investigation.
The initial collision occurred late afternoon on April 30, 2026. Investigators with the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) reported that Clark was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima eastbound on Tampa Road around 4:42 p.m. As she approached the St. Petersburg Drive intersection, 52-year-old Christy Proctor was waiting in the westbound turn lane of Tampa Road, preparing to head south in a 2021 Tesla Model 3.
