BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A couple in the Inglenook neighborhood says a road behind their home has become unsafe, and the conditions have worsened over time. They are also having an issue with a buckled sidewalk and a large hole. They say the city of Birmingham’s Public Works Department is partly to blame.
Amy Hunter, who has lived in the area for more than 30 years, said the neighborhood has declined and now includes hazards near her home on 39th Avenue North. She said uneven pavement near a large tree has caused her to fall more than once.
“Yeah, I fell right up in here. I thought I’d stepped down, but I fell off course coming that way,” Hunter said…
