DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A new bill recently introduced to the Ohio House could fundamentally change the way Ohio’s Medicaid system functions, significantly impacting CareSource if it passes.
House Bill 780 was introduced in May and would shake up the Medicaid system by changing it from an administrative service model. It would return to a fee-for-service model, something the state hasn’t seen in over 20 years.
Currently, Ohio Medicaid is overseen by seven different administrative companies that deliver Medicaid insurance.
