WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 17-year-old Forsyth County girl has been charged after creating and sharing a handwritten hit list naming seven former classmates, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
The girl, who has since transferred to another school but remains enrolled in the Forsyth County public school system, targeted seven students she knew personally. She shared the list with a friend, who alerted adults and prompted the investigation. Authorities did not release specifics on what was written on the list.
Deputies were first called to investigate on May 20. When questioned the following day, the girl admitted to creating the list and then assaulted deputies, according to the sheriff’s office.
