Corpus Christi senior makes trip to Spurs Game 6 two days before graduation

For most high school seniors, graduation week is filled with celebrations, family gatherings and final goodbyes. For Corpus Christi native Adrian Guerra, it also included a trip to San Antonio to watch his favorite team fight to keep its season alive.

Just two days before receiving his diploma from Foy H. Moody High School, Guerra and his mother, Mayra, made the roughly 140-mile drive to the Frost Bank Center for Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

For Guerra, the trip marked his first Spurs game and a chance to celebrate a major life milestone alongside family members who live in the San Antonio area…
