EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Downtown El Paso will be transformed this weekend for a race and obstacle course for the 2026 Badass Human Race.
The first wave of over 2,700 competitors will begin the race at 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 31. The race includes a 3-mile run, and competitors have to go through 15 different obstacles. Here’s a list of those obstacles:

- Farmer’s Carry
- Box Jumps
- Dead Ball Drops
- Double Up
- Tire Zone
- GECU Wall Balls
- Over-the-Ledge Climb
- Swing Lab
- Sled Zone
- The Net
- The Overpass
- The Bonus
- Rope Climb
- The Cold Plunge
After the race, competitors can celebrate their accomplishment with merchandise, food trucks, live DJ, massages, IV drops and shop at over 40 different business pop-ups.
Spectators can watch the competition for free and enjoy the Badass Day Party, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at San Jacinto Plaza.
Additionally, over 150 volunteers from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, Fort Bliss’ BOSS, El Paso Rugby Team, Coronado High School and community volunteers will make sure the race runs smoothly…
