NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — All eastbound lanes of Briley Parkway were shut down Saturday morning in northern Davidson County after a crash involving a wrong-way driver, according to Metro police.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the multi-vehicle crash was reported shortly before 4:30 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 22, just before Clarksville Pike.
Metro police said the crash involved a vehicle that was driving west in the eastbound lanes when it collided with another vehicle. The alleged wrong-way driver does not have life-threatening injuries, and is under investigation for possible DUI, officials said. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital, where he died.
