Children experiencing homelessness in New Mexico photograph their dreams

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) — A foundation offering hope to kids experiencing homelessness teamed up with an award winning photojournalist to bring out their dreams and on Friday, we finally got to see them on display.

For almost a decade now, photographer and storyteller, Linda Solomon, has been offering her expertise to help kids capture their dreams on camera and turn them into a reality. Saranam, a local non-profit is also involved with bringing the photos to life. Friday was the big reveal as the kids finally get to look at their dream on canvas, hopefully inspiring others too.

“It’s amazing to see the world kind of through the kids camera and the lens of their perspective, some of the hopes and dreams are – ‘I want to find the end of the rainbow, I want to be an artists, I want to go to college, I want a safe place to live.’ To see the images that reflect those dreams is really heartening,” said Saranam Executive Director Tracy Weaver…
