Irondale, Costco finalize agreement for Grants Mill development

IRONDALE, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — After months of due diligence and public discussion, the City of Irondale and Costco officially finalized the development agreement Friday, clearing the way for the national warehouse store to begin the process of building in the city.

Mayor James D. Stewart Jr. announced the agreement in The Tribune last July, noting that the retail giant had 300 days of due diligence to study the deal. After the property deal closed, Stewart posted a video from the land near Interstate 459 to share the news on social media…
