PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Highs have reached 99 degrees so far this afternoon, just 1 degree below the normal high of 100. Temperatures will fall into the low to mid 70s overnight, followed by a high near 103 on Monday.
Monday also marks June 1 and the start of meteorological summer. It will officially bring an end to meteorological spring 2026, which will go down as the hottest spring on record in Phoenix.
Temperatures will remain above normal through much of the week, with highs around 104 degrees Tuesday through Thursday. By Friday and into next weekend, an area of low pressure developing to our south should trim a few degrees off afternoon highs, bringing temperatures back into the low 100s…
