Broward’s lottery luck: Six tickets produce jackpot prizes within 3-week stretch

It was another big month for lottery players in Broward, with six tickets purchased at stores across the county in May winning jackpot prizes.

Winning Fantasy 5 tickets were sold at Publix, gas stations and convenience stores, according to Florida Lottery records.

The prizes ranged from $13,000 to $127,000, with lucky players in Coral Springs, Hallandale Beach, Lauderhill (two), Margate and Wilton Manors cashing in.

Breaking down the winners

The winning tickets were sold over a 20-day span, with prizes topping six figures in three of the six drawings:

  • May 26:$13,000 winner — Hallandale Shell in Hallandale Beach
  • May 24:$50,000 winner — Cumberland Farms in Margate
  • May 14: $115,000 winner — Shop and Save Food Mart in Lauderhill
  • May 9: $127,000 winner — Unlimited Smoke & Food Store in Lauderhill
  • May 8:$121,000 winner — Publix in Coral Springs
  • May 7: $57,000 winner — Publix in Wilton Manors

The six Fantasy 5 winners overcame the same long odds: a 1-in-376,992 chance of matching all five numbers from 1 to 36 in a drawing.
