MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers have arrested a local man after a deadly crash Sunday morning.
I-10 crash: Overturned tractor-trailer blocks multiple lanes
According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the area of Halls Mill Road and Highway 90 just after midnight on Sunday, May 31, for a crash.
When they arrived, they found a man, now identified as 55-year-old Anthony Licalzi, with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said they found that 20-year-old Luis Estaban Damas Lopez was driving at a “high rate of speed” when he crashed into Licalzi’s vehicle.
