LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — The Lafayette Parish School Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday on the potential closure of Comeaux High School, with community leaders and civil rights activists voicing opposition to the plan.
Under the proposal, the career center would be moved from the Northside to the Comeaux campus if the school closes.
After voting to close Comeaux High and then reversing the vote, the Lafayette Parish School Board will discuss the potential closure again. If the board votes to close the school, Comeaux students will be forced to choose among Southside, Acadiana, and Lafayette high schools…
