2 face charges tied to ambush attack on teen at Surprise party

SURPRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — After nearly two months of investigation, two people are facing charges for the ambush attack on a teen at a large party in Surprise.

Police said Monday that two children have been identified and charges have been recommended against them. Investigators said the case meets the criteria for Preston’s Law, which creates a new category of assault and establishes harsher penalties for aggressors in lopsided assaults, also known as swarming.
