Paul Stroud couldn’t say enough good things about Fairhope High School and the Fairhope community.
The school announced Monday that Stroud is retiring from public school teaching. He has spent the last 26 years leading the Pirate boys soccer program to historic heights.
“It’s very tough to leave,” Stroud told AL.com. “Fairhope is a brilliant place, and I love those people. I love (principal) Jon Cardwell and (athletic director) Josh Howell and all my fellow coaches. It really is a family in a lot of ways. It was hard to leave, but it’s time. I’ve been there 26 years. I have an opportunity to grab a new challenge, and I’m looking forward to that.”…
