Teens among 3 charged in armed robbery, kidnapping in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Three people, including two teenagers, are facing charges after a violent robbery and kidnapping in Northwest D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said on May 31, around 9 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 3000 block of Idaho Avenue NW. MPD said the suspects lured a man into an apartment, where other suspects came out and brandished firearms.

Police said the group demanded money and property, then forced the victim to transfer money using a mobile payment service before assaulting him and holding him against his will…
