Big Payback People’s Assembly calls for overdue reparations for Black Chicagoans

For some, reparations for the centuries of harm done to Black Americans can look like affordable housing, investing in disinvested communities, and direct payments to the descendants of chattel slavery.

These were some of the ideas presented during the Big Payback People’s Assembly on Saturday, May 30, in Alt Space’s Austin location.
