Man arrested for Akron grocery store fire

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – U.S. Marshals arrested the man accused of intentionally setting fire to Roush’s Market early Saturday morning, leaving an Akron neighborhood without its only grocery store.

According to a release from U.S. Marshals, Manuel Eliezer Ramirez-Molina, 36, was arrested on Monday for arson.

Akron Fire Department crews were dispatched at approximately 6:04 a.m. on Saturday to 554 W. Thornton St. for reports of heavy black smoke in the area.

Akron Fire got the fire under control, and there were no reported injuries…
