A former Detroit People Mover official and a local businessman have been charged in a bribery scheme that involved about $300,000 in bogus contracts for work that was never performed.
An FBI affidavit unsealed Tuesday alleges that Michael Norman Anderson, 55, of Oak Park, who worked as Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Director for the Detroit Transportation Corp. (DTC) — which owns and operates the People Mover — allegedly took bribes or kickbacks from Metro Detroit businessman Terrence Parker, 51, for IT services that were never provided.
