NMB special meeting advances mitigation plan, oceanfront paid parking

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH S.C.(WPDE) — On Monday, the North Myrtle Beach City Council met for a special-called meeting.

The council discussed mitigation plans and development agreements.

Seven of the nine items on the New Business agenda were approved.

  • ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Amendment to Chapter 10, Finance and Taxation, of the Code of Ordinances of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, regarding the fiscal year
  • ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: An ordinance setting the tax levy for FY 2027
  • ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: An ordinance to provide for the adoption of the FY 2027 Proposed Budget
  • LIMITED OBLIGATION BOND ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: To provide for Accommodations Fee Pledge for Limited Obligation Bonds not to exceed $18,000,000
  • REIMBURSEMENT RESOLUTION: Expressing the intent of the City of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to reimburse itself from the proceeds of certain tax-exempt obligations for the expenditure by the city of monies for the renovation and expansion of facilities
  • ORDINANCE/FIRST READING: Authorizing the execution, delivery, and performance of a Lease-Purchase Agreement and other documents relating to the lease-purchase financing of certain vehicles and equipment
  • REIMBURSEMENT RESOLUTION: Expressing the intent of the City of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to reimburse itself from tax-exempt obligations
