Events starting more than two years ago are at the core of efforts to remove Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo from her position.
The controversy that set the wheels of a removal hearing in motion goes back to $2 million in tax incentives awarded to hotel developers in April 2024, approved by a divided vote of the City Council.
