Highlands Ranch hit-and-run suspect identified, had suspended license over DUI

The driver accused of driving onto a sidewalk and hitting three people in Highlands Ranch on Monday had a suspended license due to a previous DUI.

Adam Bauserman, 28, faces eight charges, including vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, according to a Tuesday evening news release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

One person was killed, while two others were seriously injured in the incident, which happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Wildcat Reserve Parkway. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford F150 was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk, striking the pedestrians.
