May was a busy month for earthquakes in South Carolina, and June is off to a fast start as a seismic event was recorded in the Columbia area early Wednesday morning.
There were seven confirmed earthquakes in the Palmetto State in May, a figure that doesn’t include a May 28 sonic boom that shook up South Carolina, and its cause remains undetermined.
