MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A Mobile County Sheriff’s detective testified that a man accused of killing four people texted one of the victims about drugs hours before the murders.
The detective said Oliver occasionally went to Lisa Fields’ home to buy marijuana and that phone records show Oliver texted Fields about drugs the day of the killings. Fields, Thomas Cordelle Jr., Keziah Luker and Luker’s unborn child were killed.
According to the detective, Oliver borrowed a tan-colored vehicle from his neighbor and told him he was taking it to buy drugs that same day. A neighbor recalled seeing a vehicle matching that description outside Fields’ home that evening…
