Amarillo man arrested on multiple assault, burglary, protective order violation charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – An Amarillo man has been arrested and booked into the Randall County Detention Center on five charges related to alleged burglary, aggravated assault, sexual assault, and violation of a protective order.

According to court documents, 44-year-old Dennis Tayler Sarine has been charged with one count each of:

  • Burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony;
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon;
  • Assault of a family/household member by impeding breathing or circulation;
  • Violation of a bond/protective order for assault or stalking; and
  • Aggravated sexual assault.

Documents allege that Sarine broke into the victim’s home on May 15, threatened them with a gun, and sexually assaulted the victim.

The complaint also alleges that Sarine was accused of a misdemeanor assault charge against the same victim in December 2025. That case is still pending.
