GUILDERLAND — After nearly six decades of family ownership and operation, the Abbruzzeses are placing their Altamont Orchards and the Orchard Creek Golf Course properties on the market for $5.9 million.
The 162 acres spread across multiple parcels holds apple trees, a farm market and bakery, a brewery, a private residence, and an 18-hole public course ranked among the best in the country to play for less than $100.
The decision to sell, Dan Abbruzzese stressed, is not a prelude to bulldozers, and while ultimately it’s an unenforceable condition, he’s adamant that the land remain untouched…
