GUILDERLAND — A portion of Western Avenue closed Wednesday evening after a tractor-trailer ran a red light and collided with an SUV, trapping the driver inside, town police said.
The crash occurred around 7:07 p.m., according to an update from Guilderland police. The SUV driver, who was turning onto Western Avenue from Dunnsville Road, had serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
A roughly 1.5-mile stretch of the road from Dunnsville Road to Route 158 was closed as of 7:24 p.m. As of 9:12 p.m. the road had reopened in all directions…
