One of Newburgh’s most recognizable hometown brands is getting a new chapter, and it’s all thanks to a generous gift from two community-minded residents.
Bill and Erin Morrison have officially gifted ownership of “The Burgh” logo and brand to Historic Newburgh, Inc., so now that beloved symbol of local pride will remain part of the community for years to come.
How “The Burgh” Became a Symbol of Community Pride
If you’ve spent any time around Newburgh over the last several years, chances are you’ve seen “The Burgh” logo on T-shirts, hats, and other merchandise. Since taking ownership of the brand in 2017, the Morrisons have helped transform it into more than just a logo. It has become a symbol of hometown spirit and a way for residents to proudly show their love for the river town they call home.
The Morrisons are well-known supporters and investors in Newburgh, and they have spent the last eight years growing the brand into something that truly resonated with the community.
