Loxley traffic stop leads to 15-year sentence for felon

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Memphis man has been sentenced in a Mobile federal court following a 2023 arrest in Loxley, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Missing children found in Foley, parents arrested, officials say

According to a United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Alabama news release, 40-year-old Marshall Bratcher was sentenced to 15 years in prison for possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon after pleading guilty.

Court documents revealed that on Oct. 29, 2023, a Loxley Police officer stopped a white sedan for an improper lane change. Bratcher was identified as the driver and was accompanied by an adult female and three juveniles.

Bratcher admitted to having marijuana, which led to a search of the vehicle. During that search, the officer found a stolen Ruger P89 pistol under the driver’s seat…
