The so-called “big, beautiful bill” from the Trump administration seems to be paying dividends in the form of $300 million planned upgrades for Houston’s Johnson Space Center. Considering the apparent aging of many of the buildings there, it’s not entirely a surprise.
Much of the funding is going toward new manufacturing buildings and repairs of current infrastructure, with seven companies selected to potentially compete for the task orders.
One of the proposed new buildings in particular includes the 38,000-square-foot Applied Spaceflight Fabrication Facility, set to help manufacture large and small components in JSC’s Historic District.
