BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) — What was expected to be a packed St. Martin Parish School Board meeting quickly turned into confusion Wednesday evening as supporters of longtime educator Wanda Roy arrived to find the board had already concluded its meeting.
Community members gathered at the St. Martin Parish School Board office around the scheduled 5 p.m. meeting time after a flyer circulating on social media encouraged supporters to attend and show support for Roy.
Many in attendance said they came hoping to address the board and seek answers regarding Roy’s departure from the district. However, upon arrival, supporters learned the board had already completed its meeting business…
